Being mindful of what you are planting is a priority to the spiritual farmer. There are many ways to encourage growth in yourself physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Take time to observe your thoughts and decide which ones you want to grow.
There are as many different types of plants as there are people, and each plant mirrors the strength and virtues of your personality. Maybe you have been a plant that has thorns and bristles. Maybe you are an invasive plant that smothered those around you. Maybe you are a beautiful, sweet flower with a scent and fragrance that brings joy to many. Maybe you are a strong tree with long branches and leaves to provide shade and shelter for all who come to you. Some of you are plants that are deeply rooted. This can manifest as strength or stubbornness. Your roots are necessary for your growth and purpose, and some of you may feel easily and helplessly uprooted and restless.
Every moment is a time to plant a new seed, and as a spiritual farmer and gardener, you look around and realize you can only reap what you sow. It is delightful to watch a garden grow. The seeds are much like a child who stands up, reaching for the sun and the love of a parent. As you tend to these seedlings, there is much to be vigilant of, to keep your garden weeded of negativity, of feelings of anger, judgment, blame, and of victimhood. In nature, one plant does not think it is the victim of another. There needs be no competition among your thoughts, or with others, for all thought seeds you choose will spring forth as planted for you to embrace for your highest growth.
Be excited to plant seeds of kindness, peace and strength and be patient to see the fruit. Shine your Light and radiance on others who feel like their roots have been pulled up and are being tossed about by the wind and rain.
Tend to your garden regularly. Remove the weeds and set them free to be the compost of tomorrow. Nurture the positive thoughts. Plant new uplifting seeds that will bear delicious fruit, then let it all go, for your inner gardener is changeless and limitless.
